VILLAGE MINISTRY

We currently working in the south east side of the Dominican Republic in the city of San Pedro de Macoris. One of the main focus is our organization is to develop and strengthen our relationship with the Batey (sugar cane villages) and its local community organizations. Pathway Dominicana is currently working along side leaders in the bateys of San Pedro de Macoris.

 

Batey Aleman

Aleman is one of the largest and developing sugar cane villages in San Pedro de Macoris. its population is of over 2000 people 65% of a Haitian heritage. There are 4 churches, an elementary public school, first aid clinic, a children development center, a day school/ childcare, a Full baseball field for training, basketball court, a community park and a few local shops. Although Aleman is one of the oldest and more developed villages there is still much need both physically and Spiritually.

Our Vision for Batey Aleman is to empower outreach to the community. we intend to set base of our organization  Aleman and build a community center which we intend to use as a medical clinic to provide consults in the various areas of medicine at little or no charge to the community. build a better more spacious place for the children center and feeding program at Springs in the Desert, classrooms for to provide training for youths and adults in the community.

 

Batey Olivares

Olivares is a Sugarcane village with a population of over 300 people. 80% of Haitian Heritage. Olivares is a community with a high level of poverty and need. there are two churches in the community,   local basic education public school, an open baseball field and a half basketball court. Pathway Dominicana has partnered with a local leaders Joel Colon, Darleny Morla and their Organization at  the ALFA Community Children's Center, to provide early education, medical atention, outreach program, youth empowerment to benefit the community's development

 

Batey La Cubana

La Cubana is sugar cane village of San Pedro de Macoris. Its population is of approximately 250 people, 70% of Haitian heritage. There are Two churches, a local basic education Public school, open baseball field, mini basketball court and a community park. At la Cubana Pathway Dominicana has Partnered With Francisco Pierre and his wife Ana and their Church. Our vision is to strengthen the outreach and build closer relationship with the community, create development programs for children, empower the youths through sports and technical training.
